 Google Crowdsource is Announcing the Vocalize: Indian languages Campaign! 🇮🇳📢

 

 

Thank you for signing up for the Vocalize: India Edition campaign! The campaign is live through 1st November to 30 November, 2022 – so make the most of it, to be eligible to receive an e-Certificate of Distinction!

Those who make at least 1000 contributions to the Audio Validation task in either Gujarati, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu or English[India] before November 30, will receive an e-Certificate of Distinction! For this, all contributions will be subject to a strict quality review, so make sure that your contributions are meaningful.

 

You can start contributing now! Here are the steps–

 

Step 1: You will first need to install the Crowdsource app through Play Store and add the language you want to contribute to (Gujarati, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu or English[India]) in your Crowdsource settings (instructions)

 

 

 

 

 

Step 2: Go to the Audio Validation task (task icon shown in the image below) on your Crowdsource app homepage, and start answering the questions, following the instructions listed in Step 3

 


Step 3: Listen to a short machine-generated audio clip and use your best judgment to determine if this is how you would pronounce it in the language you are contributing to (Gujarati, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu & English[India] )

• • Choose “Yes” - If the pronunciation sounds natural and correct

• • Choose “No” - If the pronunciation sounds unnatural or incorrect to you

• • Choose “Unsure” - If you're not familiar with the word or don't know how to pronounce it

• • Choose “Skip” - If you don’t feel confident giving the answer

 

[Important Note] Please carefully listen to the pronunciation and let us know if it sounds correct – we want a “Yes” rating only if something is truly 100% correct! Your honest and candid responses will help us improve our speech recognition models
